Slogan
Jessica Dash

One day
I’ll wear
a t-shirt
that says
I  WANNA
KISS  EVERY
BUG  FOR
THEY  ARE
SO    SMALL
&  MY   LIPS
ARE  SO  STRONG
Or a sweater
that says
the Big Licky
Anything
to bring attention
to things made
inside-out
Eternally in
a pink coat
I feel feral
and fed
I have sandals
that look like
newborn hooves
and it’s like
having horse eye
You
can
read
anyone’s
mind
through
the
television:
There’s an emptiness
in that man’s
heart and he
only knows how
to fill it with
more cars
If style
is about
personal
expression
then why did
I arrive like
the star spangled banner
Giant clown chords
and a Pucci crop top
I mean to have
enormous pockets
so I can save
the sandwiches
for me and
my dog later
Fashion is
always about
saying something or
nothing ever &
everyone dresses like an
overgrown baby
or a pirate-whore
or a mosh of the two
The quiet designer
says the collection
is based off of
Saturn eating his son
An editor
wants to know
if any beautiful poets
could model a
scarecrow look
in the Berkshires
A pashmina means
everything in
September
An issue I have
with micro skirts
is that you can
see up my heart
I miss when
everything
was just a
shopping mall
A high light
of labyrinth
A janck-ko-haven-
to-more-teenage
crystal-palace salve
An Orange Julius
will always love you
Another tee
  WHEN  YOU
DROP  THE   ACT
    THE WORLD
    RUSHES   IN  WET
It is true
and not true
that what you
wear wears you
Try crowning
your head
through a
turtleneck’s
sleeve until
it spits you out
from embarrassment
Try swimming
in a pool with
a t-shirt on
