Tale of Two
Alleliah Nuguid

He broke his right leg she broke her left.
O leg! Bereft. Bereft.
They twined into a ribboned knot.
Leg, sweet leg, we miss you not.

Grasping
at me you grasp
also yourself.

Pain twin: your desire
vibrates across our central nerve.

The dark smooths the seams.

Alleliah Nuguid is from Fremont, California. She holds creative writing degrees from Northwestern University, Boston University, and the University of Utah. She would love to read your tarot cards.
